ECHR: de Menezes Death Squad Cover Up Legal!

Jean Charles de Menezes
Jean Charles de Menezes – murdered in an extrajudicial execution in Stockwell tube station 22 July 2007 by armed officers of the Metropolitan police.

ECHR – The British Government has finally got the verdict that they have spent years bulling the ECHR for.

The ECHR has ruled on the side of the British government on the investigation and death into the Jean Charles da Silva e de Menezes. The Brazilian man who was murdered in cold blood by out of control armed metropolitan police officers at Stockwell tube station on the 22 July 2005.

All the bullshit and bluster coming from the Conservative party about the ECHR being undemocratic imposition, is really all about forcing the ECHR to approve of state sponsored death squads and token legal protections for citizens of the UK.

It has to be said that is a shame that Jean Charles da Silva e de Menezes’ family will never now see any of his murderers brought to justice over the extrajudicial execution.

The origins of this is the ECHR forcing the British Government to abolish the old Attorney General’s post in government. The objection being that you cannot be both a judge and a cabinet minister because of the important legal principle of separating the executive from the judicial system.

The real function of the Attorney General was to pervert the course of justice in all cases that may cause embarrassment to the the Government of the day. Successive British governments have been sulking about losing this power ever since.

I say token investigation, because like all investigation by an organisation of itself. The investigation into the extrajudicial execution of Jean Charles da Silva e de Menezes was not carried out correctly.

Commander Cressida Dick Who was in charge of Operation Kratos was promoted and even given the Queen’s Police Medal in 2010 in spite of having run a shambolic investigation and effectively lost control of the officer on the ground.

She has now left the metropolitan police and joined the Foreign Office. Judging by her track record I expect that we will be declaring war on the USA shortly.

For those who disagree with this assessment, would you think that it was still ok if say a future Labour government declared Mark Thatcher a terrorist and he was shot dead in  police operation?
