Afghanistan - Nervous customers of Kabul Bank withdraw their savings amid fears of possible collapse.

Hundreds of Afghans have been trying to withdraw money from the country's largest bank, amid concerns that it could collapse.

The panic was sparked by reports that Kabul Bank has lent millions of dollars to members of the political elite, who used the money to make risky investments.

Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel Hamid reports from Kabul.

Last week, several American media outlets broke the story that the bank was in trouble and its top two executives - the chairman and the CEO - had been fired. The bank had apparently over-loaned to its own shareholders, who in turn, invested millions of dollars in property in Dubai.
