USA – It has long been claimed that Daesh or Islamic State is a vehicle that the US and its allies uses to advance their own strategic and political aims in the middle east.
When the USA finally did decide to do something about IS by forming one of its infamous coalitions to defeat IS It managed to include the countries that have consistently financed and armed IS in the first place, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. UK – Politicians have been quick to blame ad-Dawlah for the Sousse beach, Tunisia massacre which happened on 26 June 2015. ad-Dawlah (AKA Islamic State, ISIS and ISIL) in their turn have been obligingly quick to claim their 15 minutes in the spotlight.
This will satisfy most people for the most part. The papers have been playing their part as well. With conveniently to hand pictures of the man held to be responsible for the massacre. This will probably satisfy a lot of the grieving relatives who seek closure on these horrors. Some of the others will demand to know more. Who can blame them? Europe – Whilst the western newspapers howl with indignation at the events in Paris on the 07/01/2015 Acres of newsprint has been devoted to demands for more powers for the security services, greater and more intrusive surveillance and fewer rights for suspects. WW1 – With the 100th anniversary of World War 1 or the Great War, we are getting loads of articles about the sacrifice of the people who died in the fight for ‘freedom’. We are also told that it was the war to end all wars.
Let us get this straight. World War 1 was not the War to end all Wars. The treaty of Versailles was the direct cause of World War 2. The Cold war.
