UK – When we think of banks, our thoughts should turn to safe places in which to place our money. Run by sober and responsible men with propriety. A safe place within which to keep our money, and from whom both customers and industry could borrow money.
The City – Coming hot on the heels of news that the police have found that three people have been held as slaves by a retired couple in south London, Lloyd’s has re-opened is doors to the slave trade after a break of 206 years.
UK – So ‘Wanker’ Brown has finally gone from Number 10 and the country has sighed a collective sigh of relief. None so great as in the Labour party, who are glad to be rid of such an electoral liability. No doubt they will get down to their usual practice of the blame game and recriminations.
